The Joy of Skiing with the Grandchildren

There will come a time in everyone’s life when time will reverse.  You live a life of raising your children and then, in the blink of an eye, you are watching your children raise their children.  It’s absolutely awesome!

Thirty years ago I was fortunate to introduce the sport of to my .  They took to it like a ‘duck to water’.  They took lessons from beginner to advanced and are excellent at it.

Fast forward to a few weeks ago and here I was watching four of my doing the same, taking their very first beginner lesson at a .    As I spent the first ninety minutes or so watching my two return to the and skiing like they never left, I knew it was going to be a great day.  We left the more advanced hill and headed over to the to check on the kids and their instructor to see if they liked what we had brought them into and the reaction was unanimous “we love it!” they shouted.

Since then we have had very little to none as far as snow is concerned in the so we have not been able to take them, but I am sure that when I come up with another day of skiing I know that I’ll always have someone to go out with.  SUCH FUN!
